Favourites - Caspar Babypants

Caspar Babypants is brilliant! His real name is Chris Ballew and is a founding member of the band for grown-ups called Presidents of the United States of America or PUSA for short. You can really hear PUSA's sound coming through on Caspar Babypants' debut album called Here I am. We think Chris has just softened PUSA's sound and lyrics to create a fantastic, light and intimate groove for toddlers as Caspar Babypants. Fair play to you Chris!

There are 22 songs on Caspar Babypants' album, but for us, 5 of them really stand out:
1. Free like a Bird
2. Baby Bear
3. Three Blind Mice (this is the best version of Three Blind Mice that we have ever heard!)
4. Bug in the Cuff
5. Let the S go (an excellent song for teaching phonics!)

You can listen to these tracks for free on the home page of Caspar's website.

Caspar has made two youtube video clips that we and our children love! The first video clip is for The Island Hop and is filmed in the islands of Hawaii. This video clip is close to our hearts because we also live on an island. Click on the arrow below to play it.

The second video clip is for Little Broken Truck and it was recorded live featuring Caspar's daughter, Josephine Babyhat! Again, click on the arrow below to play it.

Quince often plays Caspar's CD when he's washing dishes after dinner and you can hear him singing backing vocals to Baby Bear! Hopefully Caspar Babypants can someday come to Glasses Island for a jam with us. It would be brilliant!
